(SIOUX CITY, IA) Winter weather hampers home sales in Siouxland. There are half as many pending listings now as compared to this summer. That means realtors have to compensate during the warmer months to make up for slow sales. Buyers are usually turned off by snowed-in driveways and sidewalks. Sellers should keep them clear because in the winter, buyers mean business.

"In the summertime you may have half of the people that you take out to view homes are not really serious, tire-kickers so to speak. When you have somebody now this time of year, they're serious," says Jim Trucano, Pro-Link realty agent.

That's why it's even more important for sellers to keep their homes ready for showing.
