Sioux City in Forbes Top 20
Forbes released their annual "Best Places for Business and Careers" earlier this month and ranked Sioux City #14 in 2010. Areas were ranked on 12 metrics including costs (business and living), job growth (past and projected), income growth, educational attainment and projected economic growth. Quality-of-life issues were also factored in such as crime, cultural and recreational opportunities as well as net migration patterns. Lastly, the percentage of subprime mortgages handed out over a three-year stretch were examined along with the number of highly ranked four-year colleges in the area.
With favorable business costs, a strong economic outlook and a solid quality of life, it's obvious why Sioux City is ranked in the Top 20!
