A home with gorgeous furnishings at the showing brings out an emotional and “move-in” ready feeling for buyers; but, remember, the seller will take their furnishings with them when they leave.  The home needs to accommodate your furnishings and lifestyle so look past a home's decor and make sure the space will accommodate you and your family.  Look past the furnishings, a home needs to easily accommodate your lifestyle so imagine you and your family doing daily routines in the house.  Any built-ins stay with the home, so think about how you might use them.  Focus on the floor plan and measure the dimensions and graph out where all your belongings will go…will you need to add to your furnishings…will the color pallet need to be changed to work with your furniture?  If you love the way they've arranged the living room, make a note of the layout or design you loved. Even if you end up purchasing another home, you can always recreate the look.
